About the Designer

As a kid going to public school in the mid-2000's, I really didn't know what I wanted to do for a profession. I was always a decent student, but unsure as to where I wanted to go after high school. I spent a lot of time as a kid on forums and LiveJournal, creating small fandom based graphics using the free program GIMP. So when I took an introductory to graphic design class my Sophomore year, I felt an ease with it and found that the other kids were looking to me for advice, and it made me start to consider graphic design as a possible profession.

My journey to becoming a graphic designer professionally wasn't exactly straight forward. I went to community college after high school to save money, and because in my mind I was already a good enough designer to make it a career, I just needed some web and business knowledge under my belt. I soon figured out that I wasn't as qualified and proficient in design as I would like, so I ended up enrolling in Kent State University's Visual Communication Design program. The education I gained from KSU is unparalleled, and I truly believe I wouldn't be nearly as solid as a design professional as I am right now if it weren't for the instructors and peers I had at KSU.

Three years out from graduation, but over a decade from when I started my design path, I am now a professional looking to gain more logo and branding clients. I am passionate about small, local businesses, and would love to work with Cleveland-based shop owners and business professionals.

As a female designer, I have seen the sexism that exists within the design world and I really would love to prioritize helping female-owned businesses through my profession. I am also a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and would love to work with other members of the community on projects, allowing them to be comfortable working with someone who understands their lived experience firsthand. As a female designer and member of the LGBT community I hope to bring a unique view to logo and brand design in Cleveland, Ohio.

I am passionate about branding and helping businesses express who they are, and to help them reach their potential customer in a way that is unique to their business. I have experience in design and marketing, and can bring that edge to my clients.

I am a firm believer that good design can help the world become a better place, and I would love to help small businesses accomplish their goals while also contributing positively to society.
